Mahara calls for optimum use of social media in Cong campaign

The Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Karan Mahara has asked the party workers to make maximum use of social media in the campaign for the ensuing Lok Sabha elections. He held review meetings with the office bearers of the war room committee and social media team at Rajiv Bhawan on Thursday.  Mahara said that social media plays an important role in present times. He said that the social media team should send information about the policies and the promises of the party to the people. The people should also be informed about the failures of the State government and social media is a good tool for this.  The PCC president inquired about the election campaign of the party in all the five Lok Sabha seats. He also interacted with the district and Mahanagar presidents of the party and sought information about the electioneering and preparation for the polling day. The war room chairman Navin Joshi informed the PCC president about the activities of the war room of the party and said that the Congress candidates are receiving huge public response in all the five Lok Sabha seats. Joshi said that the party is in direct contact with 11,729 BLAs appointed by the PCC in the state. He added that online meetings with the desk heads are being done daily in which the directions of the leadership are being communicated to them. The war room is also ensuring that the five Nyay (Justices) and 25 guarantees of the Congress party are sent to every household.  The head of social media team Vikas Negi said that the use of social media is being done effectively to spread the stand of the party on different issues.  The vice president organisation Mathuradutt Joshi, general secretary organisation Vijay Saraswat, Vice President Suryakant Dhasmana and others were present on the occasion.
