Puducherry Housing Board JAC members protest

The Joint Action Committee will intensify the protests if the board failed to concede the demands immediately. A spokesperson of the Joint Action Committee said salaries to employees on the board was pending for the last six months. Members of the Joint Action Committee of the Puducherry Housing Board on Wednesday resorted to a sit-in protest at the head office in Anna Nagar here demanding immediate disbursement of salary pending for the last six months. Although repeated representations were made to senior officials on the board, it did not evoke any response. As a result, the employees had been unable to meet their wards’ education expenses.
