Vigilance sleuths on Thursday grilled former Tripura minister and sitting MLA from the Hrishyamukh constituency in South Tripura district Badal Choudhury in Agartala. The former Tripura PWD and finance minister Choudhury was summoned by the state vigilance department for inquiring into the irregularities and misuse of power while in the office in 2008-2009. According to reports, there was allegedly an irregularity of over Rs 800 crore in the PWD department during Choudhury's tenure. The inquiry has been initiated by the current state BJP-led state government.
