‘Will achieve target of constructing 2 lakh houses for rural poor by year end’

In the current financial year, construction of 44 new houses for the rural poor has been completed and another 1.82 lakh houses are in different stages of construction. For financial years 2016-17 and 2017-18, a target of 8.85 lakh houses was set. Out of these, construction of 8.41 lakh houses was completed till last year. Across India, the maximum number of houses have been constructed in UP under the scheme.”The housing scheme was introduced in April 2016.
