Sukhbir gathers support for Maghi Mela rally, says CM’s done nothing

BATHINDA: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal met activists of the party in Muktsar on Saturday to gather support for the party’s rally at Maghi Mela on January 14.At the gathering, Badal said chief minister Amarinder Singh had done nothing for the people of the state in the two years of his party’s rule and that he had been trying to deflect attention from his failures by talking about the PM. He said each and every section of society, be it the youth who were promised jons or Dalits and poor whose benefits had been stopped, were feeling betrayed by the Congress.“On the other hand, when the SAD-BJP alliance was in power in the state, Punjab got a road network worth Rs 30,000 crore, new airports, projects like Shahpur Kandi dam, relining of Sirhind and Rajasthan canals, and approvals to IIM and AIIMS,” he said.Sukhbir said Modi had also ensured conviction of those accused in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots..
