4 snatchers land in police net, 35 mobile phones recovered

Tribune News ServiceAmritsar, August 14The city police have arrested four snatchers and recovered as many as 35 mobile phones besides two tabs from their possession. Those arrested were identified as Simranjit Singh (20) of Ibban Khurd village, Gurpreet Singh (22) of Mohkampura, Sarwan Singh (18) of New Shaheed Udham Singh Nagar, Ranjit Singh alias Kaddu (20) of Davinder Nagar on Tarn Taran Road. The Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, J S Walia, said their two accomplices Rajwinder Singh of Davinder Nagar and Ajay of Khalsa Nagar were yet to be arrested. The police confiscated two sharp weapons (datars), an Iron rod and a toy pistol from their possession besides two motorcycles. He said the police was hoping to recover more mobiles and solve cases with the arrest of remaining two accused..
