As soon as we get a nod from the district administration, the firm will resume work.” But I made it clear to him that soil mining permission will not be given until the revenue clerk of the area provides details of the plots, volume of mining and a consent letter duly signed by each and every farmer. Besides, all these details will also have to be sent to the sub-divisional magistrate.”The officer said that since the state government has revised the soil mining royalty rate to zero, contractors and government agencies involved in construction work have been least bothered about completing the desired paper work.“We have sought direction from the government on keeping soil mining records. The company has been appointed by Airport Authority of India (AAI).On Wednesday, district mining officer Shivi Singh denied permission to the firm’s contractor claiming that he did not have the required permission for carrying out mining in the area..
