Mumbai wakes up to moderate rainfall; monsoon expected in 48 hours

The India Meteorological Department has forecast “heavy rainfall in isolated areas” for June 7 and has issued a warning of ‘extremely heavy rainfall’ in the coming days. While there were no snags reported on Western Railway, Central Railway had been running with a delay of 15 minutes. The IMD however, has still not termed this a ‘monsoon’ and the monsoon is expected to hit the city in 48 hours.
