Toolkits given to former addicts

These addicts were reformed at the drug de-addiction centres run by the Punjab government in Bathinda and now they were completely devoid of any urge for drugs, he added. After consultations with them, it was decided that they would be offered toolkits, with which they could start work. They have now agreed to train other people discharged from the drug de-addiction centres in next few months, he said. The former addicts, a majority of them youngsters, would undergo training in computer and other courses at various centres run by the government, in collaboration with private centres, across the district..
