Addressing the rally, Mann alleged that the SAD, during its tenure in the state, shut down government thermal plants and signed power purchase agreements with private plants against the interests of the state, which led to increased power tariff for the common man. He said state government could provide power at affordable rates to people if it resumes the operation of government power plants to their full capacity.
