First in India: Madhya Pradesh rolls out 100-day urban job scheme

After working 10 days under the municipal body, they will get training in their area of interest at a skill development centre. Once enrolled, beneficiaries will be given work by civic bodies and will undergo skills training simultaneously. Around 64,000 youths have been allotted work. They will have to put in four hours of work a day for the civic body — for which they will be paid a stipend — and train for the rest of the day.The government will pay a stipend of around Rs 13,300 to each beneficiary.
