Unable to get hostel accommodation, 12 students quit IIM-Sambalpur

SAMBALPUR: Youngsters aspire for a coveted seat at the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) but in IIM-Sambalpur ( IIM-S ), the lack of hostel rooms has forced 12 students to leave the institute.The IIM-S, which started classes from 2015 and doubled its intake capacity from 60 to 120 this year, does not have a permanent campus yet and functions from the premises of Sambalpur University at present.The root of the hostel crisis lies in an MoU signed between IIM-S and Sambalpur University..
