Naveen Patnaik flags off bus services to connect capital with district HQs

BHUBANESWAR: Chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday flagged off the high-end Rajdhani bus services that would connect the state capital with district headquarters and major towns. In the Rajdhani buses, the passengers will have facilities like free wi-fi, CCTV, GPS tracking, mobile charging points and drinking water bottles on board,” said commerce and transport minister Nrusingha Sahu. The OSRTC has also decided to augment the size of its fleet to 1,000 buses in the next three years, official sources said. Official sources said each bus costs around Rs 55 lakh. As many as 23 buses will ply to Phulbani, Rourkela, Bhawanipatna, Bhanjanagar, Rajgangpur (via Sundargarh), Rajkhariar (via Balangir), Gorumahisani (via Karanjia) and Burla (via Sambalpur) in the first phase.“Rest of the districts will be covered shortly..
