Tribune News ServicePatiala, October 13In view of the construction of illegal buildings and as a measure to control the practice, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Poonamdeep Kaur said the owners of under-construction buildings have to paste the construction plan at the site. Recently, the Municipal Corporation had sent a notice to owners of a building for construction in violation of building byelaws. Officials in the department said the owners were directed to remove certain constructions which were in violation of the construction plan. The officials of the Fire Safety Department said, “Many commercial buildings are constructed in the city in violation of the building construction plans sanctioned by the department. “The owners will now have to paste the building construction plans on the site during construction so that when inspectors from the building branch go for a visit on-site, they can verify the construction.”.
