COIMBATORE: Senior police officers are investigating an incident in which a stone hit a car in which Tamil Nadu chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami was travelling from Coimbatore to Salem on Wednesday night, a few independent sources confirmed to TOI. When the convoy crossed Coimbatore border and entered Tirupur district, a stone hit the CM’s car, said the sources who travelled in the convoy.The convoy was stopped immediately, and the chief minister was advised to travel in another car for security reasons.A police team began inquiries. He attended a few other functions in Salem.
