STEMI hub at CMCH to manage heart attack cases

Round the clock availability of cath lab, laboratory, echocardiogram machine, defibrillator for cath lab and intensive care unit, electrocardiogram machine for cath lab and coronary care unit and invasive BP monitoring module are among facilities required. Aimed to reduce mortality caused by STEMI or ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction, a serious type of heart attack, the initiative ensures quick transfer of heart attack cases from the spoke hospitals to CMCH through 108 ambulance network. “Patients who suffer heart attack are brought to the hub hospital using 108 ambulance network after stabilising their condition.
