Cuttack gets 2 CNG fuel stations, more in the pipeline

More than 20 CNG stations will be commissioned in the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack Dharmendra also said CNG fuel stations would be inaugurated in 19 districts. CUTTACK: Petroleum and natural gas minister Dharmendra Pradhan inaugurated two Compressed Natural Gas CNG ) stations at CDA and Bidyadharpur here on Saturday.The minister also flagged off a CNG awareness auto rally and himself hitched a ride on a CNG auto from the CDA Sector -1 fuel station to that at Bidhyadharpur. More than a 100 CNG-powered autos participated in the rally, covering a distance of 15 km between the two stations.In December 2017, two CNG stations were set up at Chandrasekharpur and Patia in Bhubaneswar. He added that the stations would be beneficial to autorickshaw drivers as it would help them save money. "Along with improving the life of autorickshaw drivers, the move will help protect the environment," he further said..
