Rudrapur: Rudrapur Municipal Corporation (RMC) is setting up an animal control centre to curb the population of stray dogs in the city. Experts at the centre will release stray dogs after sterilising them.According to rough estimates, there are over 5,000 street dogs in the city. A proposal to set up the centre at Rs 49.2 lakh was sent to the state government which has released Rs 23.8 lakh. The land to set up the centre has also been identified.
