Gurukul varsity students threaten to intensify stir

Dehradun | Thursday | 14th March, 2019

Summary:

Haridwar: Agitating students of Gurukul Kangri University threatened the administration on Thursday that they will intensify their protest unless their demands are met soon. During a meeting held in Delhi on March 13, the BoM had approved the decisions taken at the university’s emergency meeting. The protest had started on Monday because the students were annoyed with the university’s decision to dissolve the students welfare association (SWA) following an alleged misbehaviour with the vice-chancellor by a group of students on March 9. TOI tried to take the university’s version on the issue, but nobody from the administration was available for comments. In case the university fails to fulfill the demands, the protest, currently going on outside the university administrative building, will turn into relay fast and then into indefinite fast by students, he added..
