Dehradun: Two class 12 students of a private boarding school in Bhogpur were arrested on Tuesday for allegedly murdering their junior, a class 7 student, after they thrashed him with a cricket bat and wickets. The sports teacher, hostel warden and the school manager have been arrested under section 201 (causing disappearance of evidence of offence).The boy was found unconscious by the hostel warden on March 11 and was taken to Jolly Grant Hospital where he was declared dead by the doctors. Three staff members have also been arrested for allegedly covering up the crime.According to P D Bhatt, in charge of Ranipokhari police station, the students beat up the victim, who hailed from Meerut, after he reportedly stole a packet of biscuit, which caused the school management to cancel permission given to all students to exit the campus premises following a complaint by the shopkeeper.The duo hid the cricket bat in the cupboard of their sports teacher and burnt the wickets used in the crime..
