NOIDA: The National Disaster Response Force ( NDRF ) completed 66-hour rescue operation at 4.30pm on Friday, four days after it was called in after the Shahberi building collapse . The officials of Police and District Administration reached the spot and informed NDRF to conduct rescue operation. The NDRF team arrived at 10:30pm and conducted the exercise, but they could not rescue anyone alive.NDRF team comprised of nine senior officials, including three doctors, 21 junior officials, 170 jawans, 8 dogs, 16 vehicles, etc. NDRF 8th Battalion’s rescue operation was the third longest after its operations in Kedarnath and Nepal earthquakes.P K Srivastava, commandant, NDRF, said that a report will be submitted to the headquarter about the rescue operation.The police had booked 24 persons and arrested five accused in connection with the incident.
