BSNL unveils Internet telephony service

(BSNL) has launched Wings, the country’s first Internet telephony service, in the State. Mathew, Chief General Manager, BSNL Kerala circle, said the Voice-over Internet Protocol-based service would allow users to call any telephone number in the country through its mobile app Wings. BSNL Wings will become available from August 1. With Wings, unlimited audio and video calls for one year can be made by shelling out a one-time registration charge of ?1,099 at BSNL customer service centres or the website bsnl.co.in. Once the app is installed on Android, Windows, or Apple iOS-based mobile devices, tablets, personal computers, or laptops with Internet service of any operator, calls can be made and received without a SIM card..
