Faridabad: 9 booked for embezzlement, corruption at excise dept

FARIDABAD: In a major setback to digital India , nine people were booked on Wednesday on charges of corruption and embezzlement of excise department in Faridabad. The squad uncovered that government officials were running nexus with L1 and L13 licence contractors. The discrepancies were observed in the online record keeping , following which a police FIR has been filed in Faridabad. This led to revenue losses to the government.A few days ago, the chief minister flying squad ( CMFS ) received information about ongoing corruption in Faridabad’s excise department. They have been booked under sections 420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property), 467 (forgery of valuable security, will, etc..
