GHAZIABAD: Four days after the retirement of a clerk associated with the court of an additional district judge (ADJ), he was arrested for stealing a murder case file . The clerk allegedly sold it to the lawyer of the accused for a paltry sum of Rs 20,000. The case pertains to the murder of a man in 1996 in Hapur, which then used to be a part of Ghaziabad.The former clerk has been identified as Tarachand, a resident of Vivekanand Nagar. ”The police are yet to recover the file and it is now being suspected that it was destroyed soon after it was stolen from the court.
