Ambala: Girls outshine boys in student body elections

The number of girls in most of the colleges is higher than the boys. AMBALA: Continuing with the trend in academics, the girls outshone boys in the elections.The girls have shown their full strength and overpowered the boys by winning top seats of the president in 13 colleges in the district. On the other side, where there were no candidates for the post of class representative, the selection was to be made on the basis of merit, and the girls were ahead of the boys.In the top four posts, one post was reserved for the female candidate, and there are five Girls College in Ambala . The boys have won only two seats for the post of the president only in SA Jain College and Maharana Pratap College whereas Mullana and in all the other colleges the girls have won the post.The main reason behind victory of girls is the 75 per cent attendance criteria of the state government, as they are always ahead of boys in comparison to the attendance in the classes..
