Ancient sport of tent pegging debuts in Gurgaon

Among the attractions at the event was a tent pegging competition, which was held in Gurgaon for the first time. The event that started on December 12 has seen participation from over a hundred of best riders and equestrians from across the country. The championship also saw a show-jumping event featuring some of the best horses from India. It is an international sport played on horseback, which finds its origins in ancient cavalry exercises.
