Govt workers’ union plans strike over pay in Jan

Gurgaon: An umbrella organisation of workers from various government departments has threatened an indefinite strike from January if the authorities don’t meet their demands. The All Haryana Workers’ Union said their key demands included putting a stop to outsourcing work to private agencies , increasing their minimum wages and equal work equal pay.The members of the union have lined up a meeting in Gurgaon next week. We also want a pay on a par with workers in Punjab.
