Gurgaon: A computer operator of Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) was caught red-handed by vigilance department of Haryana while he was allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 2,000 for issuing a birth certificate.The accused, who has been identified as Tanmany Gupta, was working with the health department of the corporation and was responsible for issuing birth and death certificates.Manmeet Saluja, a resident of Mehrauli in Delhi, had approached the vigilance department on Tuesday with a complaint against the MCG official . Saluja had complained that Gupta demanded a bribe of Rs 2,000 for issuing a birth certificate of her daughter.After verifying the complaint, the vigilance department asked Saluja to fix a deal with Gupta for issuing birth certificate, and Gupta agreed to process the certificate after receiving the bribe amount on Wednesday.According to Satya Prakash, who is investigating the case, they set a trap and gave marked currency note of Saluja..
