Workshop on child friendly spaces in emergencies held at ASDMA conference hall

Summary:

GUWAHATI: A workshop on “Operationalization of Child-Friendly Spaces in Emergencies (CFSiE) during Flood Response 2019” was held at the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) conference hall here on Friday. Further, it would also help to formulate a strategy to roll out the child friendly spaces across the state in coming days. The programme was inaugurated by MS Manivannan, Commissioner-Secretary and Chief Executive Officer, ASDMA and organized by ASDMA and UNICEF in collaboration with State Education Department, Public Health Engineering Department, Social Welfare Department and Health and Family Welfare department. Manivannan focused on the importance of child-friendly spaces during emergency times like flood and other disasters and the need of the children during that period.
