Assam Khadi and Village Industries Board set to prepare 50 lakh COVID masks

STAFF REPORTERGUWAHATI: In a bid to tackle the COVID outbreak, the Assam Khadi and Village Industries Board (AKVIB) has taken an initiative to prepare 50 lakh face masks. Talking to the media persons, AKVIB chairman Kamala Kanta Kalita announced that five lakh masks have been prepared so far and the total budget for the production of 50 lakh masks is Rs. Kalita asserted that these masks are eco friendly and are suitable for both summer and winters. The Assam Khadi and Village Industries Board has donated 2,000 masks to the Health Department.
