Rare dolls from around the world at Jaipurs refurbished museum

Jaipur’s only dolls museum, which is around four decades old, has become operational once again after a recent renovation. The multifaceted culture of India, through its regional identities, has also been reflected in the dolls museum. The museum, which holds a collection of dolls from across the globe, was inaugurated by Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje on Sunday.Beautiful dolls in a glass cabinet at the museumThe Savita-Ranjit Singh Bhandari Dolls Museum , at JLN Road, now has a collection of over 700 dolls, with the latest addition of 400 new dolls. From a Chinese princess to Egyptian pharaohs, English puppets and the model of a Japanese monastery, the museum has a huge collection of rare dolls from different countries. There were 300 dolls earlier and now we have collected dolls from China, Japan, Indonesia and Bulgaria to add to the collection..
