Ayurveda practitioners to hold maha rally

Jodhpur: Students, medical officers and teachers of Ayurveda from entire state will be assembling in Jaipur on Tuesday in support of their demands and will hold a maha rally there. “But after January 2018 course, the Ayurveda officers have been barred from taking admission in the bridge course, which is required for this appointment,” said Barala.They have also been demanding removal of the discrepancies in the stipend of the Ayurveda medical officers on contract basis. Besides this, they have also been protesting the decision not to allow the Ayurveda medical officers admission to the bridge course in Community Health.Barala said that Ayurveda medical officers are to be appointed as the Community Health Officers at the 13,000 health and wellness centres across the state, which are to be set up under Ayushman Bharat Yojna. They have been protesting against the abolition of half posts of Ayurveda doctors (medical officers) after DPC and have been demanding appointment of the Ayurveda doctors at the health and wellness centres under Ayushman Bharat Yojna of the central government.Spokesperson of the Ayurveda Sanyukta Sangharsh Samiti, Babulal Barala said that half of the original posts of the Ayurveda medical officers have been abolished by the government after the DPC. As a mark of their protest, the medical officers and students took out a candle march on Sunday and will sit on demonstration on Monday with their friends and family members.“Even if the government did not lend ears to our demands, which are genuine, we would proceed to Jaipur on Tuesday and hold a maha rally there”, said the convener of the samiti Ramesh Chandra..
