Hitech defence equipment showcased at event in Jaipur

JAIPUR: The defence expo at Jaipur Military Station was concluded on Friday. The aim of this expo was to showcase such equipment to the users and the stakeholders . He gave insight into the forthcoming Indo-US counter-terrorism exercise, ‘Vajra Prahar’, to be held at Mahajan Ranges near Suratgarh, from November 19 to December 2. It was a first-of-its-kind event, where companies from across India participated and displayed hi-tech equipment including fields of radars, simulators, unmanned aerial vehicles/quad copters, electro optics, optics, night vision devices and equipment related to security, crowd control etc.Speaking to the media during his visit to the expo, lieutenant general Cherish Mathson, Army commander of the South Western Command said, “We have tremendous potential within the country, to produce state of the art equipment, comparable with the best in the world. This is a stepping stone for future events of much bigger magnitude.” Units of South Western Command also displayed the in-house ideas and innovations.“While every piece of equipment has its stated capabilities, there is always a scope for further enhancing their potential by innovative ideas and modifications,” said the Army commander, complimenting the units which had carried out the innovations..
