Government schools to stop vocational training

JAIPUR: Rajasthan government recently issued a circular to put a full stop to the vocational training that is being provided in government schools. Vocational training was started by the former BJP government in 905 schools for students studying from classes IX to XII.The training began from 70 schools in 2014-15 and increased to 905 schools for which around 1,810 teachers were appointed. In a press conference organised on Monday, Ashish Sharma, one of the vocational teachers said, “We were made to take exams. The aim of this training was to enable students to generate employment after passing out from the school. We were given Rs 15,000 salary which was increased in August 2018 but since then we haven’t received our wages..
