Steel City Jamshedpur to get regional development authority, says Raghubar Das

JAMSHEDPUR: Chief minister Raghubar Das on Tuesday said a new Jamshedpur would be built to take care of growing municipal needs of the denizens living in and around the Steel City. He also distributed property worth Rs 3 crore under Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society (JSLPS) scheme to the beneficiaries. BJP activists also burnt crackers ahead of the foundation programme. All the aforesaid projects are related to the drinking water and sanitation, road construction, rural development departments and MPLAD fund scheme.Later in the day, Das laid the foundation of the proposed Road Over Bridge (ROB) to be constructed at a cost of Rs 12.93 crore at Jugsalai level crossing. "The construction of the bridge will finish in a year and it will become functional tentatively by November 2019," said DC to the reporters.Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Mahato, MLAs Menaka Sardar and Ramchandra Sahis, among other dignitaries, were present at the inauguration and stone laying functions..
