Kerala rains: 1200 stranded Haj pilgrims moved to Thiruvananthapuram from Kochi

KOCHI: Nearly 1200 pilgrims at the Haj camp in Kochi who were stranded as airport suspended operations till Saturday will now be transported to fly to Saudi Arabia from Thiruvananthapuram Ibrahim Khan, vice chairman of the Haj camp committee said, "There over 1200 passenger who were supposed to fly to Saudi Arabia in three separate flights. They have to reach Saudi Arabia before the August 17 as the Haj terminal will close then and no more pilgrims would be allowed," said Khan. These flights have been diverted to Thiruvananthapuram and the passengers will be transported in three separate batches to the state capital in KSRTC buses.
