Doubtful about 10% reservation for the economically weak: Pawar

Kolhapur: NCP chief Sharad Pawar on Sunday raised doubts over the implementation of 10% reservation for the economically weaker sections of society.On the 124th Constitutional Amendment Bill that was passed by both the houses of Parliament and was given assent by President Ram Nath Kovind, he said, “I doubt the future of the bill. The discussion is going on and we will soon come to a conclusion. Legal experts have told me that the government will not be able to prove its stand on the bill in the Supreme Court.”Pawar added, “This reservation is the election ‘jumla’ of the ruling party, considering the coming elections.
