Kolkata: Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of a cluster of projects in East Burdwan on Monday. Apart from projects related to infrastructure development, a number of projects pertaining to irrigation will be unveiled by Banerjee as well. Three projects of piped water supply in Burdwan II, Jamalpur and Galsi I blocks and godowns with 1,000 metric tonne capacity in Raina I and Kalna II blocks will also be inaugurated by the Chief Minister. It may be mentioned that East Burdwan district was formed on April 7, 2017, after bifurcation of the erstwhile Burdwan district.
