Canada refuses AAP MLA entry over molestation charges

The case against the AAP MLA was registered by the Ropar police in July last year on complaint of Tarminder Kaur, who had rented her house to him in October 2016.The Ropar MLA and Kotkapura’s AAP legislator Kultar Singh Sandhwan were travelling together on a private visit to Canada . According to sources, Sandoa and Kultar had gone to visit the latter’s sister, who lives in Ottawa. The complainant, who could not be identified, had warned the Canadian immigration authorities that the AAP MLA was facing criminal charges in his home country and should not be allowed to enter Canada.When the two AAP legislators landed at Ottawa airport, they were approached by the immigration authorities. Sandoa was escorted to the immigration office where he was questioned for 25 minutes over the charges framed against him in the Punjab court.Kultar was allowed entry to the country, but he decided to return to India with Sandoa.
