350 diarrhoea cases in Ludhiana

As many as 20 patients were referred to Ludhiana civil hospital on Saturday and six were referred to civil hospital Sahnewal on Friday evening. LUDHIANA: As many as 350 more diarrhoea cases were reported from Giaspura on Saturday, a day after the water-borne disease broke out in two colonies in the area.Diarrhoea also spread to another colony -- Maha Lakshmi Nagar -- in the area on Saturday. As many as 105 cases of diarrhea were reported from Makkar Colony and Samrat Colony , both in Giaspura.While 26 patients were admitted to civil hospitals in Ludhiana and Sahnewal , about 150 patients got admitted to four private hospitals. Dr Ramesh Kumar , district epidemiologist, said the cases are coming from other areas like Basti Jodhewal and Dugri too. Another 170 patients were reported at a medical camp alone..
