Villagers protest against admin for not allowing religious procession

Bijnor superintendent of police (city) Dinesh Kumar said, “There is a long dispute between two communities over the procession. This procession is not registered in police record and seems to be a new tradition in the village. “Until the tension between the two communities continues, a large team of cops will guard the village,” said an official. We had received a memorandum from another community seeking a ban on the procession.”Meanwhile, tension was palpable in the village and heavy force was deployed to avoid any untoward incident. BIJNOR: Heavy force was deployed in Bijnor’s Shiwala Kala village under Noorpur police jurisdiction after members of a certain community protested against the administration for not allowing them to take out a religious procession.However, the administrative officials and police said that since the proposed procession was not listed in records, it seemed to be a new tradition and thus was not allowed..
