Meerut: The government schools in Uttar Pradesh are set to observe Communicable Diseases Prevention Drive in February this year.As part of the initiative, students will be taught about how to avoid contracting any infection from communicable diseases. They should be told about the cons of open defecation and awareness of using toilets should be spread.”She also instructed that a special session on the prevention of spread of communicable diseases should be held for the school students.Also, if a student remains absent for more than two days, it should be checked if the child has fallen ill or is suffering from some disease.Pradeep added, “The details of the teacher identified for the purpose of imparting health education should be sent by each district to its chief medical officer in soft copy..
