Six more colleges cleared to handle autopsies

Now after almost 17 years, medical colleges at Akola, Kolhapur, Latur, Chandrapur, Gondia and Jalgaon have been added to the list. This may also reduce pressure on authorities who have to face a law and order situation from relatives of the deceased in case of a prolonged wait for the post-mortem report. The forensic pathologist of the college will be responsible to send the final report to the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC)..
