Mysuru: Members of the Mysuru Rakshana Vedike staged a demonstration to protest the implementation of the proposed pay-and-park system in the city’s Central Business District CBD ). The activists gathered at D Devaraja Urs Road, one of the thoroughfares where the new system is expected to be implemented, and dubbed the proposal ‘unscientific’. The protesters alleged that Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) officials were not paying sufficient attention to some of the more pressing issues, and were more concerned with introducing new ideas in the city.
