Mysore | Sunday | 9th December, 2018

Summary:

The residents did not hold back from expressing their ire with the officials for failing to address their problems. “We are planning to draw 10 million litres of water every day from Hongahalli and 30 million litres from Nerelapura. The Hundavadi project will be completed in three years, and once that is done, it will resolve a 40-year-old problem. Supply of drinking water once a week, indiscriminate dumping of garbage and delay in providing pension were among the grievances the residents listed to the minister. I will ensure officers found to be neglecting their duties are suspended.”After villagers complained of having to walk 10km to fetch drinking water, Devegowda informed them that he was in regular communication with officials of the water board and had discussed the problem with chief minister HD Kumaraswamy too..
