Nagpur: The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has planned to develop ‘Virungula’, a senior citizens recreational centre, at Ambazari garden.Mayor Nanda Jichkar performed bhoomi puja of the centre on Saturday. “Centre at Ambazari garden will be under Dharampeth Zone. A private agency will be appointed for operation and maintenance of the existing facilities and to rejuvenate the garden. The civic body had handed over possession of the garden to Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC). It is an innovative concept for entertainment of senior citizens who can sing, play music, enjoy games, read books etc at the centre,” she said.A large number of senior citizens were also present at the programme.The NMC had developed children’s play area in the garden a couple of months ago..
