The number of complainants will increase as news of the racket spreads.Police said Dnyaneshwar Patil has been convicted in a case of printing fake currency notes and is currently lodged in Nashik Road Central Jail.In a recent case, being investigated by the economic offences wing of city police, a city-based jeweller floated schemes and took money and gold from investors while promising them good returns.However, a couple of years after starting the schemes, the jeweller closed down his store in the Gangapur Road area and fled from the city.Around 660 people have approached police to lodge complaints against the jeweller..
