Over 2,000 cops, drone cameras deployed for Narendra Modi’s Shirdi visit

The gadgets would help us keep eye on the movement of people at Shirdi,” the officer added.Ahmednagar superintendent of police Ranjan Sharma said tight security would be place at Shirdi due to Prime Minister’s visit. Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis and other VIPs are also expected to be in Shirdi during Modi’s visit.“We are in touch with the SPG officials for deployment of the drones. “As part of precautionary measure, we would stop movement of all vehicles within a stretch of around 2 km on the main approach road to the temple. With such huge gathering at the temple on that day, we would not allow vehicles that could create chaos,” he added.District collector Rahul Dwivedi said the Prime Minister is likely to address a gathering during his visit..
