Fee of 3 medical colleges fixed

Realisation of any other fee or donation from students will invite penal action, state health minister Mangal Pandey said on Saturday.The three private medical colleges are Katihar Medical College (KMC)-Katihar, Naryanai Medical College (NMC)-Sasaram and Mata Gujri Medical College (MGMC)-Kishanganj. Patna: The Educational Fee Fixation Committee, set up for fixation of admission fees for the state’s three private medical colleges, has fixed the fee structure. This new fee structure will be effective for the academic sessions 2018-19, 2019-20 and 2020-21.The fee structure for MGMC is Rs 8 lakh per annum, which will be binding for the new academic session of 2018-19.The fee structure does not include hostel, transport and mess charges. The fee committee was headed by Justice (retd) Akhilesh Chandra.Minister Pandey said students seeking admission to KMC would have to pay Rs 8.38 lakh per annum, while those seeking admission to NMC would pay Rs 8.21 lakh per annum..
