PATNA: Unidentified criminals looted Rs 7 lakh from a doorstep service centre of Bandhan Bank at Jayprakash Nagar under the Rajiv Nagar police station area around 3.15pm on Thursday.According to police sources, seven motorcycle-borne armed criminals entered the bank covering their faces and looted the money from the cash box at gunpoint. In other incidents, Rs 10 lakh each was stolen from SBI and Canara Bank ATMs at Alamganj and Kadamkuan, respectively. The robbers first targeted the SBI ATM in front of Jakkanpura police station and decamped with Rs 6 lakh by cutting the machine. Six bank employees were present at the centre when the incident occurred.City SP (central) Amamrkesh D, who visited the spot along with SHO of Rajiv Nagar police station, said, “The criminals barged into the doorstep service centre of the bank waving their pistols and looted Rs 7 lakh at gunpoint.
